Project Arborist - FAQ

Why do I need a Project Arborist?

Planning permits are often subject to conditions - a common condition is for a Project Arborist (PA) to be engaged to oversee parts of the construction that may impact protected trees.

What does the Project Arborist do?

The PA's role will vary from site to site depending on the size and type of construction. In general however, the role involves a couple of main elements:

  • Supervising approved works within or adjacent to Tree Protection Zones (TPZs).

  • Certifying tree protective measures.

How much do Project Arborist services cost?

PA services vary in price depending on how much of the construction requires PA supervision and the complexity of tree protective measures. The most accurate way to price the PA services for your construction is to provide me with your TPMP.
